In usage in the Southern United States, a bayou (/ ˈ b aɪ. Oʊ /) is a body of water typically found in a flat, low-lying area, and may refer to an extremely slow-moving stream or river (often with a poorly defined shoreline), a marshy lake or wetland or a creek whose current reverses daily due to tides, and which contains brackish water highly conducive to fish life and plankton. Directed by Harold Daniels. With Peter Graves, Lita Milan, Douglas Fowley, Jonathan Haze. A New York architect meets a Cajun beauty in a remote bayou village.

Bayou Macon is a bayou in Arkansas and Louisiana. One sound shot mac os. It begins in Desha County, Arkansas, and flows south, between the Boeuf River to its west and the Mississippi River to its east, before joining Joe's Bayou south of Delhi in Richland Parish, Louisiana. Some seven hundred vehicles on Louisiana Highway 134 cross the bridge daily. GovernorBobby Jindal came to West Carroll Parish for the bridge dedication.[5]

The Bayou Macon Wildlife Management Area comprises 6,919 acres in East Carroll Parish and was acquired by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries in 1991.[6]
